Why did I become an Airbnb Host?

My desire to host guests seemed an easy transition. Anyone who knows me personally, knows I love a good party and more importantly I love a good party THEME! There is a real joy for me to create and deliver a great time for my friends and family. I will say that even a few close friends understand my vision for my final party, and have all my requests for my funeral. While this may be extreme, this confirms my dedication to making sure everyone has a good time!

I have loved the beach since my first trip to Florida as a child. And as an adult, traveling to the beach is my favorite getaway. My family and I have been blessed to travel to some great locations, but the beach always calls us back!

My husband and I made plans, saved money and figured out a way to purchase additional property. We selected Fort Walton because it's such an amazing beach location. The comfort of an old beach town with a more relaxed vibe than other gulf coast beaches. Fort Walton offers a quiet laidback beach experience while being only 6 miles from Destin.

I immediately started looking into Airbnb and realized just how easy and efficient the service is for users! I also referred to my experience as a guest, in hopes of providing a memorable experience for our guests! Adding personal details to our condo space bio and photos to confirm our standards around comfort and style. We started booking our rentals on March 4th, 2024, and the rest is history.

I really hope to encourage other people, who have perhaps considered a similar venture, in realizing their own host goals! Sharing in my guests' special moments including weddings, milestone wedding anniversaries and birthdays has been so much fun! While I may not be planning their party themes (I am open to this so reach out if you need ideas) I am working very hard to make the stay memorable, relaxing and fun!
